Greetings on behalf of the Westchester Alumnae Chapter (DSTWAC)!

President’s Message

We are one of the most dynamic and innovative chapters in the Historic Eastern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In 1913, twenty-two visionary women founded our not-for-profit organization which currently boasts a membership of more than 300,000 women in the United States and abroad. Deltas exemplify dedication to an extensive array of public service programs with a focus on educational development, economic development, international awareness, political awareness and physical & mental health initiatives.

Our chapter, chartered in 1959, presently has 200 plus members who are committed to providing meaningful public service to communities throughout Westchester County, NY. Our signature programs include: the Annual Toast to Spring Brunch which has allowed us to provide over $500K in scholarships over the last 40+ years; the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy (ages 11-14) and Delta GEMS (14-18) mentoring programs designed to educate & empower young girls in the county; the Annual Small Business Crawl to support local businesses and economic development in Westchester; the Annual Osceola McCarthy Adams Awards designed to celebrate & honor members of the community who represent excellence in the Arts; Health Fair and Community Empowerment Summits; and Voter Mobilization & Education Programs. We encourage you to bookmark our website for updates on upcoming events & programs.

We are a chapter that believes in developing the next generation of LeadHERs. We are a chapter that wants to reimagine how we create impactful programming– particularly during a pandemic. We are excited about leveraging technology & collaborating with community partners to uplift Westchester communities.
